What is Capture™
The CAPTure™ system is a groundbreaking modular technology solution for removing phosphorus from agricultural drainage and surface runoff before it can mix with local surface waters. Deployed at tile drain outlets, the CAPTure™ system captures soluble phosphorus in tile drain water discharges.
The field-scaled innovative technology is a phosphorus interception filtration system that’s an easy add-on and modification to make Great Lakes watershed basins more efficient for capturing phosphorus.
CAPTure™ boxes can treat large volumes of tile drainage or runoff over a period of hours to days when coupled with hydraulic controls such as drainage water management (DWM) structures. They are designed for 3-season (non-winter) use when soluble P field losses are typically elevated.
